HOW DAMAGE OCCURS

Subtle settling of house/chimney can cause tile liners to shift or collapse.

Chimney fires from poorly maintained fireplace or burning unseasoned wood.

WHAT TO LOOK FOR

Shifting/missing tiles, ill-fitting metal liners.

Black tarry substance, or black soot.

INSPECTION/DIAGNOSTIC METHODOLOGY

Either a visual inspection or inspection with a camera will allow the tech to see shifting/missing tiles and amounts of soot buildup.

TYPES OF LINERS

We use stainless steel corrugated or smooth-wall liners as well as terracotta clay liners.
